Masks still required after 19th July 2021
From 19th July 2021, nothing will change at the surgery - patients will need to still wear a mask, socially distance and use hand sanitiser in the surgery and staff will continue to wear PPE.
We realise that it can be frustrating but when people come to us they are sick and vulnerable (and some cannot receive the Covid vaccinations due to medical reasons) so we feel it would be wrong to not take the small precautions to protect all of our patients.
You will be contacted when we are next able to offer your eligible groups vaccine or when your second vaccine is due, however please call us if you are overdue your second vaccine as we have been struggling to get responses to phone numbers for some groups. Please do not call the surgery regarding your first vaccine (only if you DO NOT want the vaccination) - we will definitely contact you. Please keep phone lines free for patients who are not well and need to book appointments.
Flu vaccination appointments are still available to book via Reception.
In September 2021, 138 appointments (5.3%) out of 4056 booked appointments, were wasted by patients not turning up for their appointment and not letting us know beforehand. This means that 138 other appointments could have been offered to other patients.

Inappropriate Social Media usage
It has come to our attention that some people are leaving unofficial reviews on various social media sites (e.g. facebook etc), including the use of extremely inappropriate language and personal attacks on members of staff. This is not acceptable and may result in action being taken by the surgery (and other public bodies). These sites are not anything to do with Northdown Surgery - we have no editing or control rights and no responses will be made to these comments. In order to have your review/feedback/complaint responded to in the appropriate way, please use the correct channels as above.
